How to Work with Us
We want what you want: happy, healthy patients.
We’re not veterinarians.
- We ARE mobility specialists, swimming instructors, and fitness experts.
- Every evaluation process has a check point for referral to a veterinary professional, something we take very seriously. We’re here to work with you and support the care you provide, not replace it.
- We require a referral or release for all of our non-recreational products and services. You control the direction of your client’s interaction with us. We’ll ask for and follow any advice regarding activity limitations or restrictions.
- Working with us is easy. Our REFERRAL FORM is easily accessible online, along with CLIENT HANDOUTS explaining each of our products and services. We’re available for questions, comments and discussions regarding your client’s activities at our facility.
If you haven’t seen or used our facility, I encourage you to join us with your own dog and see why your clients will love working with us! If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call at 520-448-3548.
Refer Your Client to A Loyal Companion
Give them our card or print out our short referral form. Please forward records and radiographs and note any desired outcomes if applicable.
Mobility Consultation with Client
We’ll identify your client’s mobility goals for their dog and address challenges to their activities of daily living (ADLs). From there we’ll build a personalized plan to work toward those goals.
Identify Mobility Support Devices
After reviewing your notes and meeting with your patient, we’ll identify mobility devices and equipment that will improve mobility and make at-home care easier for your client.
Collaboration/Progress Reporting
Our role is to support the great care you provide so we collaborate with you on customized mobility device decisions and keep you up-to-date on your patient’s progress with us.
Explore the best options
for your patients
ORTHOTICS/ PROSTHETICS
For dogs recovering from surgery or for whom surgery is not an option, OrthoPets braces and prosthetics can significantly improve your patient’s well-being, promote healing, and reduce the risk of further injury.
CANINE CARTS
A cart can return a dog’s independence and enable her to run and play again, get exercise and mental stimulation she needs to live a happy, healthy life. With custom and adjustable options, we’ll help you find the cart that’s right for your patient.
MOBILITY EQUIPMENT
Your patient has unique mobility support needs. We’ll chose from our large selection of mobility equipment such as harness, boots, shoes, socks, toe-ups and more to find the product that is the solution for your patient to get around easier.
ASSISTED SWIMMING
Swimming is a fantastic option for seniors and mobility challenged dogs. It builds strength, stamina, and balance without the pounding on land exercise. It also helps loosen tight muscles and relieves compensatory tension. All swimmers wear a life jacket and we’re in the pool with them for every stroke.
MOBILITY FITNESS
We’ll help senior and mobility-challenged dogs by building their strength, balance, flexibility, proprioception, and confidence to conquer everyday challenges like loading into the car or stepping onto the couch. Using a games model, we make getting stronger fun for dog and client.
SOOTHING MASSAGE
Older dogs and those with mobility challenges need special attention to their muscles and joints. Massage helps maintain muscle health, lubricates joints for better range of motion and aides in the emotional adjustment to new physical limitations.

DVM Consultation
Based on our evaluation of your patient and your diagnosis, we can recommend activities and supportive equipment to keep your patients happy and active at every stage of life.
During our 60-minute evaluation with your client, we’ll discuss your patient’s Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and the challenges she’s facing to perform these independently. We’ll also talk about the difficulties your clients may be having in supporting their dog as her mobility changes. Finally, we’ll ask your client about the goals they have for their dog.
At the end of this evaluation, we’ll make recommendations based on your patient’s current mobility and the client’s goals. These could include assisted swimming, guided exercise, massage, custom or semi-custom devices, carts, support equipment like harnesses and footwear, and others.
